Although I did test the motor and controller on an older machine setup, I have not tested this completed machine yet. I need to upload the modified firmware but I expect it will work with possibly a few more modifications. This is a first build of the new skate
wheel /stepper motor design so I am sure there is room for simplification/improvement. Specifically it should be possible to figure out better component locations and to improve the idler wheel assembly possibly with a hinge. Once I get it fully functional I will be able to test for sensitivity power etc. I can then experiment with power and voltage options to determine the minimum cost components that will work. I have a cool little voltage regulator that I recently found that reduces the motor supply voltage to 5 volts to run the controller. It will be built onto the new board design. It allows operating the machine from a single power supply and can accept input as high as 125 volts so it will work with any supply that will drive pretty much any stepper motor.
I like the compact component layout And height adjustments. That is what I need to add to mine.
I would be interested how you would design a spanking attachment either powered of the dame motor to smack in tune with the thrust or powered by a separate motor.
I have never designed a spanking machine but it does not sound too difficult. Some kind of cam on the main shaft could probably do it?
Problem Ive always had is you really need someki d of resistence that can release and reset to really work. Ive seen people use snail wheels (cant remeber what they are really called).
not sure what you are talking about, please explain.
This design has so many possibilities….. I am so glad smart guys like you are exploring the options..
I eliminated the limit switches in this design because the ram rod can be so long it would never reach the end and if it did, it would just fall out without damage.
Also allows for another attachment to be added to the free end so two people could get simulfucked.
