I just got the Igus Drylin bushings for my new unstoppable Fucking machine and installed them. They were the closed type so I had to mill a slot to make them into open types. I hope to getting samples from Igus of the official open type sleeves to insert in to my pillow blocks. Future builds will use the official Igus pillow block complete with sleeves. I can probably get by with the closed type and an unsupported shaft because a little flex is no big deal in a fucking machine.
The machine is very quiet now, just making a little stepper noise which is unavoidable. This is a significant improvement and I really appreciate the recommendation from a reader about these bushings.
